As a new twitterer (tweeter?), Claire Diaz Ortiz’s fascinating book, Twitter for Good: Change the World One Tweet at a Time has done wonders to change my mind about the medium. Far from inane updates on celebrity whims and whines, I have really enjoyed exploring Twitter as a means to promote nonprofit organizations, social enterprise, and strengthen community. I am thrilled to be able to follow wonderful organizations such as:
